About
My undergraduate background is in cognitive science and psychology, where I specialized in human-computer interaction. After spending some time working as a researcher and teaching English on a remote Japanese island, I joined the Organization Science doctoral program at UNCC, where I am also earning a M.A. in Communication Studies. In this program, I draw from the methods and theories of Communication Studies and Psychology to pursue my research interests relating to the structuration of virtual communities, trust, reputation systems, crowd-sourcing, and social media.
